Ruger redhawk 44 mag vs smith wesson 629
Webb19 nov. 2024 · The Model 629 through 629-4 are not that easy to find, and are up there in price when one is found. And then I thought about Ruger. I know they are investment cast and are stronger than a dump truck - at least, they used to be. The Redhawks are considerably cheaper - er, "less expensive" - than the Smiths. What gives?

It's a much stronger revolver than the Smith, which helps if you want to use heavy handloads or heavy factory loads like the 300+ grain Buffalo Bores. Webb27 okt. 2012 · The Ruger Redhawk is my favorite woods carry gun. The Rugers are the strongest actions for a steady diet of the highest power rounds. The Colts and S&Ws usually have better triggers. The pre-lock S&Ws are the most desirable for many people. The S&W 629 stainless is another option. alc36mmWebb6 apr. 2024 · I LOVE my S&W 629 V-Comp, it's a sweet revolver. The choice comes down to whether you want to shoot heavy .44 mag loads or not. If yes, you definitely should go with the Redhawk. The Smith just can't handle the hot stuff. Mine will do sub 2" gps on demand and is a joy to use.
